Chinese Language Learning Center at CCU Accredited by MOE for Overseas Recruitment

Chinese Language Education Powers Global Engagement with Strong Local Roots

National Chung Cheng University (CCU) has officially been accredited by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education (MOE) as a Chinese Language Training Institution for Overseas Student Recruitment, marking a major milestone in the University’s internationalization efforts.

The accreditation confirms that CCU meets MOE’s high standards in instructional quality, curriculum design, faculty development, learning support, and administrative management. With a structured, proficiency-based and discipline-oriented curriculum, integrated teaching modules, and a robust Chinese language teacher training system, CCU’s Chinese Language Learning Center joins Taiwan’s national Chinese language education network as a key regional–international hub.

By integrating academic and administrative resources across campus, the Center for Language Studies has established a diversified Chinese language curriculum enriched by cross-cultural experience, digital learning tools, tutoring, and learning buddies. This dual focus on language proficiency and practical application demonstrates CCU’s comprehensive capacity for advancing the professionalization and internationalization of Chinese language education, while attracting international students and professionals connected to regional industry clusters.

Director Gina Wen-Chun Chen noted that the accreditation recognizes CCU’s strong teaching and administrative foundations and enables further expansion of international recruitment and partnerships with overseas universities. The achievement is the result of sustained institutional support, cross-sector collaboration, and contributions from international affairs offices and faculty members involved in curriculum design, international cooperation, and overseas recruitment.

This MOE accreditation not only marks a significant milestone for CCU’s Chinese language education, but also embarks new momentum into the University’s efforts to enhance teaching quality, strengthen global engagement, and expand social impact.

Looking ahead, CCU will continue to advance under the principles of professional instruction, interdisciplinary integration, local engagement, and global connectivity, building a distinctive, globally oriented Chinese language and intercultural learning platform that amplifies Taiwan’s presence in international Chinese language education.
